Source-led outage record methodology

Incident counts are not uptime or SLA measures. Official pages may omit local, regional, account-specific, or unreported effects.

Source selection

Incident records use a provider's official status page or official incident endpoint as the primary evidence. Reposts, snippets, social summaries, and user comments are not treated as primary sources.

Required evidence

Every record names its source, observation time, publication time, updated time, current provider-published state, evidence confidence, known facts, and known limitations. Missing or truncated history is reported as unavailable rather than zero.

Reliability analysis rules

Counts are published only when the official source retains the complete declared observation window. Incident counts are not uptime, availability, SLA performance, impact measures, or cross-provider rankings. Providers can differ in reporting, classification, scope, and retention.

Updates and corrections

Material provider updates advance a record's update timestamp and remain versioned in the publication history. Factual correction requests are reviewed against primary evidence before the public record is changed.

Privacy

The public collection excludes reporter identity, email addresses, IP addresses, exact user locations, account identifiers, private customer data, credentials, and free-text user reports.
