Status Is UP launches uptime discovery platform and Launch Kit for website owners

Outage coverage naturally focuses on the moments when a service stops working. Yet the other side of reliability also matters: the services that keep operating, the teams that recover well and the websites that prepare carefully before launch.
Status Is UP has launched to make that positive side easier to discover. Created as a sister platform to Status Is Down, it is a discovery and recommendation platform that highlights services showing strong observed uptime signals in the available outage and recovery record.
A discovery platform for uptime excellence
Status Is UP organizes services by category and brings forward those with the lowest observed outage counts in the current Status Is Down data. At the live snapshot reviewed on September 5, the platform displayed 6,211 verified services across 63 categories, covering areas such as telecommunications, banking, energy, e-commerce, airlines, hosting, productivity and streaming.
Visitors can open a category and explore services with low observed interruption activity. The aim is not to promise that a listed service will never fail. Status Is UP describes its results as observed signals rather than service-level guarantees, and a low count is not a contractual uptime percentage or a prediction of future performance.

Recommendations grounded in the Status Is Down record
The platform’s recommendations begin with the service outage and recovery record maintained by Status Is Down. Status Is UP then organizes that evidence into a more positive discovery experience while keeping source counts, observation context and links back to the parent platform visible.
Its published method has three stages: observe the available authoritative service data, contextualize the signal with its source and observation window, and celebrate low observed interruption activity. This gives uptime excellence a place in the conversation without hiding the limits of the evidence.
Launch Kit follows as SIU’s next Uptime Enablement release
After introducing the discovery platform, Status Is UP has expanded its mission with the Guided Launch Kit Beta. The subsequent release is aimed at website owners who want to prepare a clearer, lighter and more launch-ready experience before delivery problems become incidents.

Launch Kit organizes preparation around four areas. Enable clarifies the offer, audience and launch goal. Harden surfaces readiness and reliability risks. Accelerate establishes practical image, asset and performance-budget baselines. Recover defines the support and recovery route to follow if delivery does not go as planned.
This is Uptime Enablement rather than outage monitoring. It does not guarantee better rankings, conversions, speed scores or uptime, but it helps website owners turn an open-ended launch into a visible sequence of decisions and next actions.
Free Launch Map preview, then an optional Founder Packet
The Launch Kit begins with a free Launch Map preview and requires no login to start. Its guided intake asks for public launch details such as the website or brand name, a public domain or staging host, the primary launch goal, what the website offers, its audience and optional public page paths.

The beta page says those inputs remain in the browser session and warns users not to enter passwords, private URLs or customer information. After reviewing the free preview, users may enter an email and continue to secure Stripe checkout for an optional US$79 one-time Founder Launch Packet. The page says purchasers can then open the Founder Packet and a private Image Flightpath.
Two sister platforms, two parts of the reliability lifecycle
Status Is UP now serves two complementary purposes: helping people discover services with strong observed uptime signals, and helping website owners prepare for stronger launches. Status Is Down business services continue to cover the live side of reliability through monitoring, verified alerts, public status pages and incident response.
Website owners can explore the Status Is UP index, then try the free Launch Kit preview if they are preparing a release. Readers can also browse the New on SID archive for updates across the Status Is Down ecosystem.
